The vineyard is spread across the following main plots: Grand Cru Pfingstberg This south-southeasterly facing hill has been famous since 1299. It reaches an altitude of approximately 350m. Its composition is a substratum of calcareous and micaceous sandstone. The Pfingstberg soil is perfect for Riesling and Tokay Pinot Gris, producing fine, floral and complex wines with a great aptitude for ageing of up to 10 to 15 years or even more for a good year. The Lippelsberg Located at the foot of the Pfingstberg, this silt/clay/limestone-based soil rests on a subsoil of shelly sandstone. Here, the Tokay Pinot Gris takes on all the strength of the soil combined with the characteristics of the grape variety. This plot (mentioned as far back as 1287) was a source of the "celebration wine" for the bishops of Strasbourg. The Tokay Pinot Gris is perfectly suited to this plot, resulting in a full-bodied wine with a great deal of natural richness. It is complex, long on the palate with an excellent aptitude for ageing: 10 to 15 years. | ![]() |
| The Bollenberg, a hill like no other The Bollenberg is a small hill separated from the Vosges chain. With its 3 slopes facing south, southwest and southeast, this hill enjoys a rare aspect which also combines with a varied geological composition. Overall, the Bollenberg is a clay-limestone hill, part of which is formed by a compact rocky mass forming the summit and the other part by pebbles and sand. On the slopes, vines find a perfect environment in which to develop, ideally suited to the floral expression of the Alsatian grape varieties. The result is a range of highly fruity wines, deliciously long on the palate with excellent ageing qualities. |
Uffholtz The village of Uffholtz in the Canton of Cernay at the foot of the Vieil-Armand, is located at the crossroads of the Alsatian wine route and the "crest route". The presence of vineyards in the village can be dated back more than 12 centuries. The bishops of Strasbourg and Bâle, the Princes/Abbots of Murbach, and a number of abbeys including Lucelle and Lure all owned vineyards here. In this village, we farm plots in three separate areas, recently planted with Gewurztraminer and Tokay Pinot Gris. The Uffholtz plots produce fresh, fine wines with distinctive varietal characteristics. | ![]() |
