Terroir 48° – A organic wine culture that brings together French and German organic wineries present their wines during the first « Wine Fair », baptized « Terroir 48 ». With the 60th anniversary of the Treaty of Elysée, it was started: on Monday 26 February 2024, the « Wine Fair of Terroir » will open its doors for the second year at the Rieger estate in Buggingen – Betberg, Germany. Fourteen organic wineries, including some biodynamics from Alsace and Markgräflerland, will present their best « raw » to « Land » pronounced – French term indicating the uniqueness of their origin. All have in common the fact that their vines are rooted in the 48th degree of latitude, which inspired the organizers the name of « Terror 48° ». But it is the differences between the terroirs that will create suspense at the palace. What is the taste of a black pinot of the great Eichberg cru in Eguisheim, where precipitation is the lowest around Colmar, compared to the Weiler Schlipf or the Schloßberg of Staufen where it rains twice as much? Thus, a French oyster stand should not be missed, just like the smoked trout of the Black Forest. An Alsatian cheese refiner will present the cheese nation, a foodtruck will delight vegans and coffee from a Black Forest roaster will brighten one or the other with freshly prepared coffee. A generous setting will be given to the Epicurean landscapes of Alsace and Baden to meet them in the form of « Terroir 48 ». The meeting between the wineries of the two countries, the professional public and wine lovers are at the heart of this event. Those who have been inspired will be able to buy the wines on site. Opening hours: February 26, 2024 10 – 16 hours for the professional public, Presale: 20 € – Evening caisse : 30 € – Consignee for glass : 5 € |
