« A visit to Roumier, then to Cécile Tremblay for the apprenticeship of Annabelle... beautiful black pinots on the Bollenberg, on the same places as the Zusslins... A wine growing and above all, a desire to grow! » Dear passionate members, at the dawn of this Easter weekend, it is with a certain excitement that I write these few lines around the Camille Braun estate in Alsace because, without really expecting it, I got caught during a great tasting in Paris, by some cuvées of the estate, including one of pinot noir on the Bollenberg in 2023 that really scotched. We're not talking about a star domain here, but it could become so if the trajectory on all cuvées continues to progress in this way! « The light and deep ruby dress, shiny, clear, opens onto a floral and vegetal nose. The peony scent is close to the sour cherry and the rosewood. The perfect palette. It blends delicateness, early fruit and elegance of breeding. The noble plant marker brings an additional dimension to the nose.
Mouth attack is tender, fruity. It brings a smooth, delicate and full middle of mouth. The floral, vegetal and fruity tones take turns to give a stretched, loose wine. The tannin grain is silky, supported by a farm that provides structure and intensity. The salty and roasted character coats the acidified cherry. The final vibrates like the rope of a violin. Beautiful. Very nice bottle. »
